The ASQ:3 developmental screening tool is a reliable, valid tool to understand children’s progress for development (gross motor, fine motor, communication, problem-solving, and self-help skills). This parent-reporting tool is flexible for implementation and inexpensive to maintain within your program (just the cost of copying the forms). It can be used for children ages 1 month to 5 1/2 years. This tool is one of four developmental screening tools recommended by the Office of Childhood-DESE.

This course provides information on developmental milestones, supporting families and child development, and how to implement the ASQ:3 according to the standards determined by the publisher.

The ASQ:SE2 social-emotional screening tool is a reliable, valid tool to understand children’s progress for social-emotional development and the factors that affect children’s behavior. This tool is flexible for implementation and inexpensive to maintain within your program (just the cost of copying the forms). It can be used for children ages 1 month to 6 years.  This tool is one of four social-emotional screening tools recommended by the Office of Childhood-DESE.ASQ:SE2 training offers content on social-emotional development, supporting families and social-emotional learning, and how to implement the ASQ:SE2. 

Frequently Asked Questions

All trainings are at no cost to participants and registration is required. These are virtual, scheduled courses with an instructor. Please direct additional questions, concerns, or changes to your registration to cfe-childwell-being@health.missouri.edu

Once you submit your registration, you will receive a confirmation email. Please review the PDF attachment to confirm all information is correct. The Center is not responsible for incomplete registration information.

  • All materials needed for class participation and learning will be provided by email 2 -4 business days prior to the training.
  • You will need to print some documents so you can successfully participate.
  • Log-in to Zoom 10 minutes before the class start time. You must be present and actively participating for the entire training to receive credit. You will not receive credit for the class if you log in more than 5 minutes after the start time.
  • A device, e.g., laptop or tablet, to participate. Please do not use a cell phone.
  • Plan to devote the entire class time to the course content.

Registered participants will receive a Welcome Email 2 - 4 days prior to the class date. This email will include the Zoom link and link to class materials.

After completing the class, you will complete a post-training survey. Within the survey, you will enter an attendance code as proof of your participation. The code will be provided during the training. It is your responsibility to write down the code and enter in the survey. We cannot guarantee participation certificates, clock hours, or materials without the attendance code.

You will receive an email from the MOPD system. It may take as long as 2 weeks to receive clock hours.

You will receive a certificate after you complete the post-training survey.
